ZUMBA!  

This year dance your way to health!
Ever heard of Zumba? In words of one participant, “It is soooo much fun!”

Zumba incorporates Latin-inspired dance moves like the Cha-Cha and Salsa into an aerobic workout. You don’t need to know how to dance to do the exercise – just like any aerobic workout you follow the instructor. Burning calories, strengthening muscles, including your heart are all great benefits of this type of exercise (aerobic and resistance training).

Some people do Zumba by watching a video at home, but going to a class can be motivating if you have the time. Check out this site for a class near you! (They even have locations outside of the United States) http://search.zumba.com/classes/

** Zumba does require pivoting and twisting, which may bother people who have problems with their lower back, knees or ankles. The dance routine can be modified, but as with any new exercise program consult your doctor first.
